Traace Adkins not happy with Grammys
For the second year in a row, Trace Adkins is nominated for a Grammy
For the second year in a row, Trace Adkins is nominated for a Grammy. This year's nod is for Best Male Country Vocal Performance for "All I Ask For Anymore." You'd think Trace would be over the moon about getting to be part of the Grammy Awards, but he tells us that last year's experience left a bad taste in his mouth.
Trace's busy tour schedule this year prevents him from being in Los Angeles for the big night. Trace and Martina McBride (who is also nominated for a Grammy) are touring together and won't be at the show. Trace and Martina's Shine All Night tour plays in Fairfax, Virginia on January 31st, the same night as the Grammy Awards.
The third installment of Trace's comic book alter ego, Luke McBain, is now available. Since the launch of the series in November, the adventures of Luke McBain has become a hot item on both the shelves and at Trace's concerts. The first issue sold out from distributors in less than 48 hours, while the second issue, which was released in December, outsold the first.
Trace is currently working on a new album, his first for Toby Keith's Show Dog-Universal Music record label.
Trace's fellow nominees in this category are Billy Currington for "People Are Crazy," Jamey Johnson for "High Cost Of Living," George Strait for "Living For The Night" and Keith Urban for "Sweet Thing."
