Lady Antebellum tries to steal Rascal Flatts' Act
Lady Antebellum may have ended Rascal Flatts' longtime reign as the CMA's Vocal Group of the Year, but they admit they have tried to be just like them when it comes to music anyway, as Dave Haywood, Hillary Scott and Charles Kelley explain: " We've been tryin' to emulate those guys for years . . . forever. We're just huge fans. They always make great records. They pick really great songs, whether they wrote 'em or not, and we even tried to take a little bit of that with us. This next record we have a few outside songs. There's just amazing songs here in Nashville and you're doing yourself a disservice not to cut those and make the best album possible, and we tried to do that and we learned that from groups like Rascal Flatts."
Lady Antebellum's new album, Need You Now, will be released on January 26th. Three days later on January 29th, Rascal Flatts will be at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa.
